CHILDREN CALLING CHILDREN

Albania - Ringing for Peace

Children in Albania were tired of war in their country. Many children were left orphans. The children prayed to God and asked for peace. Then they asked their parents to give up their weapons, and they agreed. The arms were melted down and made into a big peace bell. The children walked all over their country with the bell. Now the bell rings out calling everyone to live in peace.
  • Last year Mission Together Children in England and Wales sent £9,290 to Albania to help orphans in a street children project.

Rachel's Prayer

Children from all the Sheffield schools attended a Mission Together Mass. Rachel Gore, aged 10, from St Wilfred's, read her bidding prayer at the Mass:

I dream that one day a child will come to me and ask, "what was war?"

I dream that one day a child will come to me and ask, "what was poverty?"

I dream that one day a child will come to me and ask, "what was the difference between black and white?"
