Story of Therese A Hand in Friendship Around the Schools Update Cameroon / South Africa Puzzletime

The children learn to prepare for the future

Children look after cows.
It's hot work cutting sugar cane.

They have fun with games
like Kora, a pebble game

How quick-handed are you? Christine would
like to show you how to play her game.

Here are the rules for two to four players:

You need five pebbles: Throw 1 Pebble
Pick up 1 pebbles. Catch the first one. Hold 2
Throw 2 pebbles. Pick up 1. Catch 2. Hold 3
Throw 3 pebbles. Pick up 1. Catch 3. Hold 4
Throw 4 pebbles. Pick up 1. Catch 4. Hold 5
Throw 5 pebbles and catch them on the back of your hand to end the game.

If you drop pebbles you have to stop and let your friend take a turn. You then have to go back to the beginning each time when it is your turn.

The winner is the first person to catch all five pebbles without dropping any.

Last year Mission Together
 children gave £7,000 to
 Mumias School for the Deaf.

What is it like to be deaf and alone in the company of those who can hear?

And you only guess as you go along.
For no one is there with a helping hand
Many children still need your help. Will you be their friend and live our motto
Children Helping Children?
As you try to keep up with the words and the song,
You have to be deaf to understand.
