Around the Schools

Children are busy working, praying, sharing and living their motto
Children helping Children.
Here's how some of them are doing it ...

St Patrick's, Cardiff

St Dominic's, Barnsley

Barnsley schools came together with Bishop John for an Advent

Mission Together

celebration. The children performed dance, music and movement. They also enjoyed a power point presentation about the work of

Mission Together.

Pupils listened to the story about Shanti from Assam, in an assembly given by John Burns and presented a cheque for £840.   A “live” Advent wreath
spreads the light of love.

St Edmund's, Godalming       St Theresa's, Stoke

As part of their assembly about Assam, pupils learned how to wear a sari, which is the traditional dress of ladies from India. They saw how to make a garland from rice grains. Miss Joan Harte, headteacher, Mrs Frances Muir and Eileen Godfrey all agree the children have learned a lot about their friends in Assam.   Pupils try to puzzle out how to build a Mission Together collecting box. Why don’t you have a go? Then use it to save coins.

These bookworms enjoy reading their Newsletter about Assam.

They made bookmarks at home to raise funds for Mission Together.

At St Peter’s, children have a mission - to live their motto

Children Helping Children.

They share love and friendship with each other and with children everywhere. This year they raised £550 for Mission Together.

Last year children in Mission Together

in England and Wales sent £87,123

to 43 children’s projects worldwide.
