I live with my parents, brothers and sisters on the banks of a big river. There are no roads in the jungle so we go everywhere by canoe. Can you see the river in the middle of the Ecuadorian symbol? It is a bit like our river. What symbol is on your flag?

My job is to look after my younger brother, Diego. We make our own toys. Grandma looks after Maria, our youngest sister. How many people are there in your family?

I was the only one who could read it. I made us all obey the sign! We had strayed into a logging area. We could have been badly hurt. Imagine!

A company was chopping down the big trees on my parents’ land, destroying our environment, and we did not know it! They use our river to transport them. Do you know why our trees are so important? And why we should look after God’s creation? I want to study more so that I can become a teacher and help others to protect my home, trees and river.
